About Me

My name is Dan Turner and I have cooked professionally at some of London’s best Thai restaurants for nearly 10 years.

I left the hustle and bustle of the city to become a private chef based in Kent. I live with my fiancée and our two-year-old daughter (my biggest food critic) I get to spend half of my days as a stay at home dad and the other half being invited into clients’ homes where I cook the food I love. Please check out the testimonials page where previous clients have left lovely reviews of my cooking & me.

I have worked in professional kitchens since I was a teenager, washing dishes at first and then working my way up the ranks as a chef. This career has taken me to a range of kitchens and cuisines including British gastro pubs, Belgian bistros, Italian delis, vegetarian restaurants, and more. I fell in love with Thai food when I began working at the Begging Bowl in Peckham, becoming Junior Sous Chef , then afterwards I spent seven years at Farang London in Highbury as Senior Sous Chef.

Cooking funded me through a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Relations, and later a Master’s degree in Modern History. I have a current Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate in Food Safety, Supervising, and Manufacturing.
